The “City of Dreams” becomes a reality

 

City of Dreams Mediterranean is the Cyprus’ first integrated casino resort, the only one of its kind in Europe, which is expected to open its doors in 2021. A temporary casino operates in Limassol until the casino resort is completed. Apart from the prime location at Western Limassol, the project also includes the operation of four satellite casinos in Nicosia, Larnaca, Ayia Napa and Paphos.

New jobs were announced by Melco Group, the company behind the development of the City of Dreams Mediterranean, the Europe’s first multi-storey resort casino to host Cypriot casinos (C2), Nicosia, Larnaka and Paphos, which are scheduled to operate in 2018.

Additionally, Cyprus Casino C2, the first licensed casino in the Republic of Cyprus, has launched its official website. The website is available in English and Greek at www.cypruscasinos.com. Among other things, site visitors can get information about the games available at C2 and find instructions on how to conduct them. They can also be informed about Melco’s Game Responsive Policy and new jobs. C2 has also created a Facebook page on www.facebook.com/pg/C2.CyprusCasinos and profile at Instagram www.instagram.com/cyprus_casinos.

Columbia Bistro, a member of the Columbia restaurants, has a specially designed casino menu with a wide variety of culinary choices to satisfy all tastes such as appetizers, sushi, Cypriot cuisine, sandwich stews and others. Columbia Bistro also hosts unique offers such as Ladies Thursdays as well as a free buffet for C2 members every Wednesday.

 

Cypriot Casinos (C2), located at 271 Franklin Roosevelt Avenue in Zakyaki, Limassol, operates in accordance with Cypriot legislation and relevant regulations and on the basis of Melco’s high professional standards with emphasis on Responsible Gaming. In a total area of 4.600 sq.m. and including 1,300 sq.m. casino C2, casino C2 hosts 33 tables and 242 slot machines and Salon Prive VIP.  The casino is opened 24 hours a day and admission is only allowed to people over the age of 21. The entrance to the Cyprus Casinos is free of charge.

Significant collecting gains for State funds were reported by Finance Minister Haris Georgiadis at the inauguration of the temporary C2 casino in Limassol, which took place during the weekend of 25 and 26 September. On the first day of celebrations, the Cyprus business community was invited and the next day was dedicated to casino guests, with many surprises and gifts.

In addition, Craig Ballantyne, CEO of City of Dreams Mediterranean and Cyprus Casinos, said that the Limassol casino has established itself as an important attraction for both locals and tourists, and within three months had a successful operation and the results have surpassed expectations.

According to the announcement, the Limassol casino in its three months of operation has welcomed over 175,000 unique visitors while 13,000 people have been registered as members of the Rewards Club Loyalty program.
